Exchange server missing from Site Manager
We recently merged an overseas office into our corporate domain. Part of the merger was an exchange server which resides in the remote office. We merged the mailboxes into our exchange cluster. The overseas office can see our exchange server in their Site manager, but we are not able to see them from our side. This seems to be a small symptom of the larger problem where their mail is not replicated to the Overseas server. Right now the wholeoverseas officeis using OWA to get their email but the villagers are getting restless and we need to resolve this soon.
An added noteif you go into the Active Directory Sites and Services in our US location wedon't have a site listed forthe over seas location. The overseas location's Site and servicesautomatically pulled the information and has us listed in their S&S.
Seems like there is a DNS or routing issue of some sort happening here.
BTW, we can rdp to the overseas server through IP but not name.Although we can ping by name. ???
any help isgreatly appreciated,
Rick

Hi,
This does not sound like an exchange server problem - sounds more like an AD replication issue so I would suggest that you look for AD replication problems in event logs etc.
