Exchange server slow for users
Hello All
Having an issue with one of our Exchange servers. Exchange 2007 SCC Cluster running on Windows 2008 Server and an EMC SAN.
Today, between 14.00 - 15.00, Exchange was a little unresponsive for our some users on a specific DB on that server.
Here is what I saw:
i. CPU/memory usage on server was normal
ii. Looking at Event Log, no errors or problems there
iii. No other jobs running on Exchange at that time
iv. RPC operations/sec shoots up at 14.00 - 15.00 and so does RPC Requests and RPC Latency
v. Disk usage (read/writes) for that DB is high at that time
Anyone help pinpoint where the problem is?

Are you sharing those disks that host the DB on the SAN with another server/process? or are the disk on dedicated spindles? If shared, what else is using those spindles?Tim Harrington | MVP: Exchange | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010, MCITP: Lync 2010, MCITP: Server 2008, MCTS: OCS | Blog: http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com | Twitter: @twharrington

Hi
We're not sharing those spindles.

Hello,
Schdule a downtime to run “ISINTEG –s
ServerName
–fix –test alltests” to check if there are any issue.
Refer the following performance counters to see if there are other abnormal symptoms:
