Exchange small Business Server 2003 - emails don't arrive in user inbox
Hi All, I have set up SBS2003, we use pop3 connector which connects to our new webhosts emails server, they have set up a catch all email address and emails sent to addresses on this domain are working fine. We have a second domain address which a couple of users still have addresses on this domain, I have setup this domain in the recipient policie but emails sent to this address is not being routed to the correct user and ends up in the mailbox of the administrator (default for all mail which address dosnt have correct address) In the policie I have the *@domaina.com (this is the main domain works fine) *@domainb.uk.com (this domain has been sent to foward email to users new mail boxes but emails are going to admin account on the server) I have setup the additional domain details in the user account settings but still dosn't work. Please help. Adam

Not really an SBS expert but maybe my questions point you in the right direction. *@domainb.uk.com, is this domain delivering e-mail directly to your exchange server or does it go to your hosting company and then through the POP3 connector to the mailboxes? And you say "this domain has been sent to foward email to users new mail boxes", are you saying you have setup additional mailboxes for each persons domainb.uk.com e-mail address? Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, Correct domainb is set to forward to the domain host for domain a,the pop3 connector then connects the the host of domain a and downloads the email to the exchange.

Hi Adam, http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/2003/support/5e85fba4-53f1-4f53-b6c6-7329f228efd0.mspx?mfr=trueAccording to this article undeliverable e-mail is placed in the Administrators mailbox which is what you're seeing. The question I have that may help find where the issue is this: when does the process decide it can't deliver the e-mail, straight after Pop3 downloads the mail or after the SMTP service tries to deliver the mail. Maybe someone with more knowledge on the Pop3 connector can help out with answering this. I've only played with it where we had loads of mailboxes at the hosting company and Pop3 connector had to login to all the mailboxes individually to pull down mail. Do you have additional e-mail addresses on the accounts where the e-mail is supposed to be delivering to? If not, then maybe SMTP is having issues. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885685Maybe this article can help find where the process is falling over. Hope this SBS ramble helps, Mark
