Exchg 2003 'lost' messages
Windows 2003 SBS Server SP2
Exchange Server 2003 SP3
Years ago, our Exchange 2003 Serverwas setup to send a text message when space was low in a user's mailbox... and maybe some other areas too... don't remember. Now, we're receiving some TMs via our cells that indicates an existence of a message at john.doe@mydomain.com. [Subject: You've received a new message. You have received the following e-mail on your 'john.doe@mydomain.com" account: From: ] {FWIW, the message was sent Monday, September 29, 2008 2:09PM}
In checking the messagesin the Outlook 2003 SP3 inbox and associated folders we can't find anything. Maybe the messages were deleted via the Outlook Rules???
Is there a place in Exchange (or someplace else) that can provide the messages sent by Exchange 2003 or any critical/non-critical issues encountered by Exchange 2003? I've checked the Windows 2003 Server's System Events Viewer and I can't see anything. I've been to the Exchange Server 2003 System Manager and nothing seems to pop-up to show an issue.
So, where do I look?
TIA!!!

One thing I noticed you mentioned - Exchange 2003 sp3 does not exist.
If you have Exchange 2003 sp2, there was a feature added to support sms (text messages) for mobile phones.

Mike,... the response was very helpful. There are some outstanding areas though.
1) Where do I setup the actual phone # (202-555-1212) for the text messaging?
2) Where can I see/find the actual messages that have been sent (date/time/description) - like the system event logs?
3) What does the "Enable up-to-date notifications via SMTP and Text Messaging" do if I am already receiving text messaging? I turned it on but I'm not too sure why I have to do it since I've already received TMs.
TIA!!!

good question - i dunno i would assume in the user object somewhere.
I'm not 100% sure, but if you just turned this feature on, i'm wondering if there isnt a 3rd party app doing this. there are a lot out there.
