Exclude e-mail adress when creating a new user in AD on windows 2003.
Hi,
The situation is as follows: We have an exchange server with 4 domains configured on it via the default policy. Whenever we add a user the user receives all the e-mail addresses in his e-mail adresses tab. We would like to specify somewhere that for
example 1 of the 4 domains shouldn't be added when we add a new user because only a few users need that e-mail adres.

Hi,
You need to create a new e-mail policy and then only add 3 of the domains to that policy. If you add a search criteria for this policy (eg customattribute1 = 3) all users without this attribute will hit the default policy and therefore receive 4 e-mail addresses.

Hi,
Thx for your quick answer. What do you mean by adding a search criteria ?

Hello Bart,
I think Leif is means that, you can set customattribute1 = 3 on the users who only want to add email addresses with 3 domains.
Then create one new policy (add three domains), and set that policy to select conditions with
customattribute1=3, that only users (with customattribute1=3) will apply the new policy.
Thanks,
