Exmerge exported pst file can not be opened
We use Exch2003 Org. I export mailbox by Exmerge to pst file and confirm it can be opened by my Outlook2010 , Win7 environment. But , end user can not open pst file because adding non-Unicode store to profile. I understand Exmerge exported data is ANSI format. 1. so, I wonder why I could open pst file by my Outlook2010 ? 2. And If I import and export pst file to by my Outlook2010 , it will change to Unicode format ? I am asking end user about his environment now.

Yes ExMerge creates ANSI PST files and if you can open it in Outlook 2010 then other versions should be able to open it as well. Unknown why the user cannot open the PST but I would look at how they are trying to open it and also if it became corrupt during transport, i.e. you may want to ask them Exactly how they attempted to open it and to send you that file back as well to ensure that it is not corrupted. You can export that PST to a UNICODE PST format as well via Outlook 2010Troy Werelius www.Lucid8.com Search, Recover, & Extract Mailboxes, Folders, & Email Items from Offline EDB's and Live Exchange Servers with Lucid8's DigiScope
