What type of Named Set are you using: Dynamic or Static?

The expand collapse seem to be working fine for Names Sets in dashboard designer. I have defined a named set for year 2011 and as seen in screenshot is providing expand/collapse.

Verify the MDX you are using in your Named Set.

If this is the only reason you are using Named Sets then you can define a Filter with MDX Query like [time].[year].members and it would include all the newly added members.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I want to use named sets but the expand/collapse feature doesn't work with it. I have a sharepoint list as my datasource but i'm not sure how to use an MDX filter in this case (i don't even know if it is possible).

How did u manage to get over this "problem" ?
