ExportEdgeConfig Error - Missing ADAM service
Getting ready to migrate to a new server (Exchange 2007 SP1) and I got an error when trying to export the edge config to a .xml file.It says:Get-Service : Cannot find any service with service name 'ADAM_MSExchange'.At C:\Documents and Settings\username\ExportEdgeConfig.ps1:345 char:37+ $adamServiceStatus = get-service <<<< $AdamServiceNameAdam service should be running, in order to export clone config.I did some research and looked in services.msc to see if the Microsoft Exchange ADAM service was turned off; it's not there. Nada, zip, zilch. However, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998342.aspxsays that this service is required! Can I install the ADAM service in order to get the exportedgeconfig.ps1 script to work? Or is it just easier to jot down the configurations and feed it manually to the new server?

Yes, you need to install the ADAM for this ps1 file to work. Feeding it manually will be bit troublesome due to the configuration that is reqd.Raj

I found the problem - we don't have an Edge Transport role in our organization; this is just atypical Exchange 2007 configuration. I'm trying to find out how to save the configurations of the Hub Transport which is a different post all together.THanks anyways!
