Export Exchange 2010 Configuration
Hi All,
Is there anyway to export the entire configuration of Exchange 2010 into a text/html file, similar to say when you export a Group Policy?
The reason I ask is that I have to do an audit on a clients setup (setup by someone else and incorrectly) and i would like to document the full Exchange setup before configuring the server correctly.
I did search around, but cant seem to find anything (or maybe the wrong search term I entered).
Thanks,
Rob

Since you know its set up incorrectly you already have this. Its all contained in the EXBPA report you ran to prove to the customer that their set up was incorrect, what you needed to change and what you based your time estimates on. Its a simple XML
file you can export from the machine you collected the EXBPA data from.

Thanks,
But I didnt have to run any report to see that it is setup incorrectly. I easily could see by going through each area to see the incorrect setups.
Least the EXBPA might be a start although it does not show the full configuration settings I am after.

You can use LDIFDE and dump the entire set of AD objects to a file.
The whole thing is in this container:
CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<DOMAIN>,DC=<TLD>
You'll have to go after the individual registry enteries service by
service, though.

You really do need to run the EXBPA because if you have found a load of problems by sight alone you can take it to the bank that there will be a load more problems that you cant actually see.
