Export Mailbox Based on MessageClass
I am looking to export a large mailbox (over 20GB) to a pst file.
I currently use Symantec Enterprise Vault for archiving and would like to eliminate exporting the archived items from the mailbox as I don't require them in the exported pst file.
Is there a way, possibly through powershell, to export messages from a mailbox based on message class?
For example: I want all messages that are not of the message class: IPM.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut
In addition, is there a way to create multiple pst files for one export, say at 2GB each, so I don't have one large 20GB file?
If you are aware of a third-party utility that would perform this function that would be helpful as well.
Thanks.

Check out Lucid8's DigiScope
http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp it can do the message class function.
After you install the product and connect to a production server or mount a on offline DB, Click Find, then in the Advanced tab select ALL MAIL Fields, and in the Filed select Message Class and form there you can set conditions and
values etc. Also supports Regex if you want to get super in comlex Version 3.1 which will be out in a few weeks will have the ability to do an overflow PST, i.e. as you described set the limit and when its reached or close to a subsequent PST is generated. Its in QA now so just has to clear and it will be released
