We have a requirement to backup public folders in PST, but not all the public folders in environment needs to be exported, really looking a way out to export only some specific hierarchy. If there is specific outlook filter or cmdlet on PST export request could do so kindly suggest an exact filter that may help ?
&nbAlternative, try this automated solution i.e. Import Export Solution that allows to export specific public folders hierarchy to pst files.

Use Outlook to export public folders (data) into PST. You can select specific public folder to convert into pst form.Check the helpful:

But alternatively, you can also give a try to third party tools like
Dell-Quest,
Stellar, Veeam, or
CodeTwo, cause exporting 1TB data using export-import features may take longer time and risk of data loss.

Two options
1. Use the Mailbox Export cmd with Include / Exclude Folders option https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Ee633455%28v=EXCHG.150%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
2. Utilize a 3rd party product that provides a GUI interface to then exclude specific folders and content so that you only export the desired data
Hey Aditya,
If you're using Outlook 2010, it is the only option (by using import-export method) to export public folder/subfolder data in pst. However, I am not sure about random hierarchies. You may give a try to software which I listed above. Check the demo version of stellar or any-other tool, and let me know if it works!
Edited: Make sure that folder view is enabled
