Hi Experts,i have One Domain Controller at gurgaon named GRGNIMEX01 & another in BNSR Nmaed BNSRIMAD01. now my management want to transfer FSMO role to Domain Controller at BNSR. but with my Excahnge Server 2007 is GRGNIMAD01 integrated....is it make any difference when i transfer roles .....is my exchange will work as it is working..Thanks in Advance.Balwan Singh

What do you mean when you say "Integrated"? Are they on the same box.Normally the Forest level FSMO's will not creat problems (till the time you go for schema expansion or domain addtion). Now on the domain level are more important as far day to day functionin of exchange and AD goes.In my opinion i will always keep my DC (holding the domain level FSMO) in the same AD site (also on the same LAN if at all possible).Any ways nothing is going to happen to your exchange till the time you have one DC/GC in the same AD site and that is replicating fine with the other DC. When i read your Text correctly, you just transfer FSMO Roles from one DC to another but the DC which had the FSMO roles will still be active,there will be no affect to your Exchange Server. but i suggest that you turn on GC on both Domain Controllers.
