Failed to connect to the Edge Transport server ADAM instance with exception The LDAP server is unavailable

Hi,

I would like to request for assistance. This has been an issue last year and we have tried several codes or script but to no avail. Here are the error messages on the logs of our Exchange Server:

Failed to connect to the Edge Transport server ADAM instance with exception The LDAP server is unavailable..  This could be caused by a failure to resolve the Edge Transport server name edgeserver.domain.com in DNS, a failure trying to connect to port 50636 on edgeserver.domain.com, network connectivity issues, an invalid certificate, or an expired subscription.  Verify your network and server configuration.

Also encountering this error message on our Anti-spam but Im not sure if this is related with the 1st one:

antispam postfix/smtp[28694]: certificate verification failed for 10.10.0.XX[10.10.0.XX]:25: untrusted issuer /CN=PVBHO1PRDEDGE01

Additional: This is for exchange 2010 not 2013 sorry because I cant find 2010 in the choices.

Hi Jim,

Here's what I've done already

1. Get-TransportServer <Server Name> | Format-List Name,InternalTransportCertificateThumbprint

2. Remove the third-party certificate from the Edge Transport server.

3. Install a self-signed certificate on the Edge Transport server.

4. Re-Create the edge subscription.
4.1 Export the Edge Subscription file on the Edge Transport server.
4.2 Copy the Edge Subscription file to the Hub Transport server.
4.3 Import the Edge Subscription file on the Hub Transport server.

But still the error is keep appearing on logs.
