Failed to execute get-storagegroupcopystatus in some Exchange server 2007
Dear All, Recently, I found that it was failed to execute the following command in powershell: "get-storagegroupcopystatus -server:ClusterCCRServer" It happened in a few Exchange 2007 servers which is a memeber of CCR Cluster. The error message is: Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus : Microsoft Exchange Replication service RPC failed : Microsoft.Exchange.Rpc.RpcException: Error 5 from cli_GetCopyStatusEx at Microsoft.Exchange.Rpc.Cluster.ReplayRpcClient.GetCopyStatusEx(Guid[] sgG uids, RpcStorageGroupCopyStatus[]& sgStatuses) at Microsoft.Exchange.Cluster.Replay.ReplayRpcClientWrapper.InternalGetCopyS tatus(String serverName, Guid[] sgGuids, RpcStorageGroupCopyStatus[]& sgStatuse s, Int32 serverVersion) At line:1 char:27 + Get-StorageGroupCopyStatus <<<< -server:ClusterCCRServer Please help. Hi Tommy, It will only give error when MS Exchange replication service is not working on passive node. Please check replication service is running on both node. MS Exchange Replication will be problem in this situation. Tommy, you find any issue with that service. what is result of Test-ServiceHealth on the affected server?

Hi, 1. Please try to Update the Storage Group Copy from the passive nodes which cannot run these command. Do you get any error message? 2. Make sure that Windows firewall are turned off on all the cluster nodes. 3. Restarted the Microsoft Exchange replication service on the passive nodes. Then test to see if the issue persists.
