Fixing a misspelled SMTP address
Hello all,The person who set up our Exhange 2007 server misspelled our company name, which is also our domain name. The migrated email accounts from Novell do have the correct spelling, so we have just recently discovered this when we attempt to create new mailboxes. After we create a new mailbox, we have to manually go in to the its Properties, click on the E-Mail Addresses tab, and uncheck the box that says "Automatically update e-mail addresses based on e-mail address policy" and edit theSMTP addressto the correctly spelled domain name. So apparently there is a misspelling somewhere in Exchange of our domain name, I just don't know where to start looking. Thanks for any advice!

You have to create an Accepted domain for correct domain name and correct the smtp address in default Email Address Policy...

That worked! I was trying to just create a new Accepted domain and didn't realize I had to go in andcorrect theSMTP address in default Email Address Policy. So essentially it wasa two stepprocess.Really helps to avoid the hassle of having to go in andediting the SMTP address for each new mailbox I have to create. Thanks again!
