ForestPrep & DomainPrep
My predecessorran a migration from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003 using thenew hardware processwhichat acertain point failed and alsobroke the Exchange 2000 server which then had to bereinstalled and disaster recovered. During that process ForestPrep and DomainPrep, for Exchange 2003,will havebeen run in the Domain that I've inherited.
I plan todo an in-place upgradeto Exchange 2003 on that recovered Exchange 2000 server and need to know that I'm doing my job properly and following Microsoft's procedure right from the start andto the letter for this.
Can thesameversion of ForestPrep and DomainPrep be run more than once in the same Domain?

Rerunning Forestprep and Domainprep again will not hurt a thing. In fact, in your case I would suggest running it again before proceeeding.

Hi,
Yes, you can run these command again.
ForestPrep extends the Active Directory schema to include Exchange-specific classes and attributes. It also creates the container object for the Exchange organization in Active Directory.
The schema extensions supplied with Exchange Server2003 are a superset of those supplied with Exchange2000 Server. So you need to run it again.
DomainPrep creates the groups and permissions necessary for Exchange servers to read and modify user attributes.
You can follow below article to check whether these command has completed successfully.
