OUTLOOK 2013 DOES NOT RECEIVE/SENT MESSAGES

February 7th, 2015 10:53pm

Hi Kunigunda,

What type of email account do you use (POP, IMAP, MAPI or Exchange)? Does Outlook show any Send/Receive errors?

Are you able to send and receive messages on your web-based email portal?

(Most email service providers provide a webmail client as part of the email service. If you don't know the address of it, you should contact the service provider or your administrator.)

Generally, if you're not able to send/receive email messages on the web-based email portal, then the issue is on the server side. For further assistance, you need contact your email service provider or administrator.

If issue doesn't persist on the web-based email portal, it might be an issue on Outlook 2013 client side. To troubleshoot the issue, I would suggest we first try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure that Outlook has a connection to the Internet
  2. Verify that all your account settings are correct. If you are not sure about this, you'd better to contact your service provider or administrator.
  3. If you have any security software installed, please temporarily disable it and then try again. This security software might block the connections to your email server.

Please feel free to post back with any findings.
