I have a problem with the free busy PF on Exchange 2007 which has lost its replicas (due to a nasty experience with SP2 which I don't want to go into here). Outlook 2003 users cannot access free-busy andrunning outlook/cleanfreebusy gives the error "unable to clean your free/busy information on the server". Why dont you send few Meeting requests to EX2003 users from EX2007. and have all of them accept the meeting so that the meetings can be populated and who ever have issues in accessing the free busy have them launch OL with /cleanfreebusy switchVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Hi Carol, I would like to explain that it is normal the SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY folder does not have a replica. For your reference, I have posted the result after running the same command on my mixed environment. Name : SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY Replicas : {} Name : EX:/o=sinbe/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) Replicas : {Public Folder Database} Name : EX:/o=sinbe/ou=First Administrative Group Replicas : {Public Folder Store (EWIN2K3ENTSP2)} Nevertheless, I would like to know whether the you are able to get the EX:/o=sinbe/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) folder or the EX:/o=sinbe/ou=First Administrative Group (For Exchange 2003 users, it is normal the folder does not exist if it is a pure Exchange 2007 environment) replica information when running the command get-publicfolder -Identity "\NON_IPM_SUBTREE\SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY" -Recurse | fl name,Replicas If the two folders cannot be retrieved by using the command, please let me know: 1. Whether the Organization in the environment has several Public Stores which contains Public Folder replicas. HI,I'm just waiting for someone from MS to phone me now. I've been through pretty much all of those documents, and yes I did eventually figure out that the replica is not required on the top level folder - only the sub folders. this would most probably mean that the PF tree object is not in the correct place in the AD..search for the "CN=Public Folders" object under the E2K7 AG or under CN=Microsoft Exchange container from Adsiedit and if you see it there, move it to the CN=Folder hierarchies folder, restart the IS on the E2K7 server and it should take care of the issue.This would have happened, if you had E2K3 AG in the ORG, and removed the E2k7 server and re-installed it (if thats what happend when you instaled SP2). this would typicallymove the CN=Public Folders under CN=Microsoft Exchange container and you would see these kind of issues.

OK it's fixed now, with help from a MS PSS guy.In the properties of the Mailbox Databases, under Client Settings, the Default public folder database was still referencing the old server.Interestingly there is still no CN=Folder Heirachies in ADSIEdit under Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) so I guess that was never needed.Also I should add that I did not remove anything. The installation of SP2 failed on our production server. After a reboot it removed itself from AD. PSS are completely at a loss to explain why this happened. Fortunately I had already set up a DRP server with replicas of all PFs and SCR copies of the mail databases so we were able to resume service with no data lost.Carolhttp://www.wapshere.com/missmiis
