Free Busy issue
My environment has Exchange 2007 SP1 with 2 Edge servers, 2 CAS/Transport servers and a CCR cluster for the mail. Outlook 2007 users recently started having issues with Free/Busy, Outlook 2003 and OWA users have no problem accessing Free/Busy. On my CAS server in IIS manager, I removed 'Enable anonymous access' from Directory Security> Authentication and access control. This enabled the users to see Free/Busy information, but whenever Outlook was reopened the user was prompted for a password. I have tried combinations of the available options under Authentication Methods, so that Free/Busy will work without prompting the user for a password. Is there a solution for this problem?

Hi, I suggest you double check the Authentication Methods configuration of Exchange related Virtual Directory according to following article: Default settings for Exchange-related virtual directories in Exchange Server 2007 http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/02/01/447989.aspx In addition, please let me know how the clients connect to Exchange Server, RPC or RPC over HTTPs.Mike

I apologize for the late follow up, this issue was buried by others. Clients connect via RPC. Your solution worked perfectly once I applied default settings to both of my CAS servers. Thanks a lot.
