I have an exchange 2007, and the GAL doesn't update for created/deleted users. What could I do to get the list update in Outlook2007. Thanks so much guys

Do you know which mailbox server is responsible for generating the GAL? It should be specified in the properties for the Default Global Address List in the Exchange Management Console, underneath Organization. While you are in there, you can choose to run it immediately, then have a look in the application event logs on that server for anything that indicates why it is failing. Steve, all server rolls are installed in one box, and the only option when I right-click on the Default Global Address in the EMC is "HELP". I don't know how to get into the properties option.

You can try this: Update-OfflineAddressBook -Identity "Default Offline Address Book" –vb Outlook clients may not see it right away but OWA should show changes right away. If that doesn't work the -vb switch should give you some indication as to why not.

Thanks MnM Show, this is what I got when running the script. Update-OfflineAddressBook -Identity "Default Offline Address Book" -vb VERBOSE: Update-OfflineAddressBook : Beginning processing. VERBOSE: Update-OfflineAddressBook : Searching objects "Default Offline Address Book" of type "OfflineAddressBook" under the root "$null". VERBOSE: Update-OfflineAddressBook : The source of the previously executed operation cannot be resolved. Update-OfflineAddressBook : Could not find any Domain Controller in domain domain.local. At line:1 char:26 + Update-OfflineAddressBook <<<< -Identity "Default Offline Address Book" -vb VERBOSE: Update-OfflineAddressBook : Ending processing. [PS] C:\Windows\System32>

Hi, From the output you posted, I think the domain controller diagnostic tool should be used for analyzing the state of domain controllers and check whether there is something wrong with connectivity of Domain Controllers.
