Hi,
All nodes in an SCC or CCR environment must be in the same Active Directory site. Although Windows Server 2008 failover clusters introduce support for cluster nodes to be members of different Active Directory sites, this configuration is not supported by
Exchange 2007.

we installing an exchange passive CCR node and getting the following error.
This cluster spans multiple Active Directory sites. Exchange Server 2007 cannot be installed. Detected Active Directory sites: NY,CA
it is actually across 2 subnets and 2 ad-sites as being reported in the error.
active node: IP- 192.168.50.xx
AD-SITE - NY
Passive: IP - 192.168.55.xx
AD-SITE - CA
the node got created and was identified but exchange install fails. I am using an Exchange 2007 SP1 Setup.exe, The active node is on E2K7 SP3.
i got varying responses on the subject - some MS docs say that CCR mutli-site was only supported with SP1 and SP2 & 3 discontinued it, some say its very much supported to have multiple ad-sites
and i know this env had a passive node what was working on the ASPEN site coz that is where i last time evicted it from.Sharique 'W@rbuG' Ahmed. 2 b or not 2 b
