Get-ServerComponentState -Identity Mailbox2 shows all Components are Inactive

Hi,

We have 2 Mailbox Servers and 2 Cas Servers in Exchange 2013 Setup which has been migrated from Exchange 2007

If I run the Get-ServerComponentState -Identity on all servers. I see that all components under mailbox 2 are inactive.

All the services are started and even if I use Set-ServerComponentState to set the component as active - it comes to the next line but still shows inactive when I run Get command.

Any

Hi

Did you assigne permissions before you can run this cmdlet " Set-ServerComponentState"

Also Is there any error when you set to active?

Cheers

Yes, I tried to set that using Set-ServerComponentState however that did not work (no error). I used the requestor as Functional. The only component which set itself to active was Monitoring.

There is not enough documentation on which requestor we should actually use.

But more than that, I am concerned why all components only on 1 server show inactive. I am sure if I stop the monitoring and diagnostics service on this server, this status might change.
