Ghost in the machine?
Hello, and thanks in advance for any help offered.I have a ghost in my Exchange Server(Running Exchange 2003). Recently i was cleaning out old inactive accounts and mailboxes and deleted an old administrative assistant. Since the deletion, anyone who sends a Meeting appointment to the Manager for whom the assistant worked, they get the following error returned to them. <name blanked> on 11/6/2007 11:20 AM The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address. <mail.blank.org #5.1.1> The Manager gets the appointment without issue, but anyine sending him meetings get that error back. I have checked server settings as well as his client for any references to this old user and see nothing. Any idea how to clean this ghost out?

If you ever find the answer to this question, can you let me know as we are having the exact same problem? I can't find the user account anywhere, but meeting requests always have the same message that you posted.

does the manager in question have any rules that do auto forwarding? are the users sending to locally created groups? are the users using templates?
