Group membership import
Hi all, I hope you can help on this one as it does" relate to Exchange" I am currently helping 2 large, non-Exchange departments to migrate onto Exchange 2007 from their Lotus Notes and Domino environments. 1 thing is causing me headaches and apparently the Quest tools cannot help the departments with this. They have around 500 security groups on Lotus for instance, with various members in them. They have created the corresponding Distribution Security Groups on Exchange using a tool we provided, though the group NAMES have had to change (in order to comply with naming conventions for our organisation). Apparently, because the NAMES are not the same, the Quest tool cannot "map" the groups from the 2 seperate environments and so cannot populate the Distribution Group memberships on our AD\Exchange environment. I am puzzled by this but do not use the tool so am unable to comment much. However, were I to request all their group names as well as their corresponding members, what tool would be most useful for performing these bulk Membership import tasks? I am investigating whether csvde and ldifde would do it fairly easily, but does anyone have any comments otherwise (Either on the Quest issue or on alternative ways of doing this). Thanks for any help you can offer. Tom

You could probably do it with PowerShell. Add-DistributionGroupMember -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." .
