HELP! I can't delete, send or receive any emails from my Outlook!

Hi, really some help here guys! When I try to delete a message (I'm using Outlook 2013) a box pops up saying; "The message store has reached its maximum size. To reduce the amount of data in this message store select some items that you no longer need and permanently (SHIFT + DEL) delete them... The problem is, when I do this, the same box just pops up again. It won't let me delete any messages, but it's telling me that this is what I need to do! None of my emails are coming through (although I can see them when I go into my webmail). I've also tried to send an email but it won't send. It just sits there in the outbox.

Also, if I try to drag and drop some of my emails into a different, I get this message:

"Cannot move the items. The outlook data file [file name deleted as it's my work email address].com ost has reached the maximum size. To reduce the amount of data in this file, delete some items that you no longer need.

Again, it WON'T let me delete any emails!! Arrrrggghh!!

If anybody knows what's going here and has time to help an I.T. dummy, it would be really appreciated!

Many thanks, Nick

Is this a pop3 account? Do you know how big the the pst is? outlook 2013 supports a large pst file. The default size is 50gb. If this is pop3 account, try adding a pstfile and setting it as default in account settings, data files.

Hi!

You need to delete de profile of the oulook account, if the outlook data file si corrupted, you need to delete the profile in the Control Panel/ mail

After deleted create again and try to sync your emails.

Hi Diane and Alex, thanks for taking the time to reply. Really appreciate it. Turns out all I needed to do was a simple "repair" in my email account settings! That sorted it right out! Thanks again :)
