HTTPS for OWA
I'm running Exchange 2003 (Exch2k3). It's also my Enterprise Root CA. If I leave the settings as installed and go to http://localhost/exchange I can login as a user and get my email via OWA. IfI open IIS Manager, then right click on each of the folders Exchange, ExchWeb, and Public, go to Properties, then to Directory Security > click the Edit button under Secure communications > put a check in Require secure channel (SSL) and click on the radio button "Accept client certificates" then, in my browser go to https://localhost/exchange it states "The page cannot be displayed". Just so you know, I've tried different settings in these folder Properties > Directory Security > Secure communications. Can anyone please help?

Are you able to go to https://servername and not get any errors? If you cannot do that either you should double check to make sure you have a the certificate installed properly on the site. To do thatyou will need to assign a certificate directly to the Default Web Site on the "Directory Security" tab choose Server certificate and either install or assign a certificate on the site. Then you will want to unselect "Accept client certificates". You should then be able to browse to https://servername/exchange.

Have you installed a certificate in IIS, otherwise its no use of require encryption, it simply does not work if you dont have a certificate installed. /Lasse
