Our organization has a standard Powerpoint template that is distributed to all users. The template is currently in a 4:3 aspect ratio. Since upgrading to Office 2013, the presentation created by the template on widescreen laptops is converted to 16:9 which stretches our company logo. Converting it back to 4:3 messes with the layout of the slides.
Now for the questions...
- It appears that Powerpoint will not auto-convert a template that has been created in 16:9 format. Is that correct?
- Are there any options other than republishing the template in the 16:9 format?
- Is is possible to create a template with formatting information for both formats?
- Is there a setting in Powerpoint that I am missing which will prevent the widescreen laptops from changing the aspect ratio of a presentation template?
