We're company1.com and they're company2.com I'd like new tree called company2.company1.com and have us host their e-mail in our Exchange environment. I'd also like to keep their e-mail addresses as username@company2.com. Finally, I'd like to migrate their mail from the existing POP3 server to our Exchange server. What are the general steps I'll need to complete to make this happen? Thanks.

It's really that complicated? I'm not looking for a very detailed answer, just some basic steps. Maybe something like: 1. Create new tree in forest 2. Create user accounts 3. Add SMTP address to E-mail Addresses tab

I agree with Ed, this looks like a small contract/project. But here is info to get you started: A forest contains domains. The first domain created in a forest is the forest root domain. If your current domain is called "domainname.local" then that is the forest root domain in your current forest. You can create child domains under this domain. You can also create additional trees, such as "domainname2.local", which can have child domains as well. Each domain is recommended to have at least two domain controllers. Hello mhashemi, If you really want to keep this simple, just join their workstations to your AD and have your exchange server host another SMTP domain. It's quite simple to set up another SMTP domain in Exchange. You will have a lot less work than creating a child domain. You can create groups in AD to apply specific GPO's to their group.
