Having two exchange servers in the same Organizational Unit

I am a bit confused with 2013

As my next step with my learning of Exchange 2013 I would like to join a second mail server to my first, to replicated that the company has outgrow the first server, and wanted to spit the mail boxes, like A to h on the first and I to Z on the second

but looking at the information I found, I can't find how you do this, and the only reference to this that is simile to want I want to do is to create a second server and then set up DAG

am I looking at the right area ?

as I reminder with older versions, that you were able to join the second server to the first was installing Exchange and you choose the option to join a existing Organizational unit

Hi

Ok, so if I take out the High availability at the moment as this is only a test environment
and if it was a live environment then I would use something like a DAG solution.

But for this solution you are saying that with two mail servers, aI will need a CAS and them both connected to the server, and I am guesting I would also need the CAS Server to have the mail flow connections for external emails.

I will go and look up the CAS server and see how easyer it would be to importment this into my Exchange enveronment or if I have to rebuild.

Hi Chris,

If we have no CAS array, we could install a CAS server in organization, then we suggest you make a CAS high availability(this is optional step), which is CAS array.

If we has CAS array in organization, we could add a CAS to present CAS array by the following links:

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
