Having two exchange servers linked together

I am a bit confused with 2013

As my next step with my learning of Exchange 2013 I would like to join a second mail server to my first, to replicated that the company has outgrow the first server, and wanted to spit the mail boxes,    like A to h on the first  and I to Z on the second

but looking at the information I found, I can't find how you do this, and the only reference to this that is simile to want I want to do is to create a second server and then set up DAG

am I looking at the right area ?

as I reminder with older versions, that you were able to join the second server to the first was installing Exchange and you choose the option to join a existing Organizational unit

Hi

When you install the second exchange server you can create a DAG and create DB's at will and split mailboxes as per your organizations requirements. Take note of the limitations of DB's on Standard vs Enterprise.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your question.

By my understanding, if we want to add another Exchange server to existed environment, we didnt suggest separate two Exchange server, because mailbox will not be available when mailbox down.  We could create a DAG for high availability. We could move mailbox like A to H on first and I to Z on second. But, owing to DAG, mailbox like A to H will have a copy in second server. mailbox like I to Z will have a copy on the first server.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,
