Hierarchical Calendar Sharing Permissions
Hi,
I am trying to see if there is a way to configure Exchange 2010 SP2 and Outlook 2010 so that the team view calendar permissions can be set to Publishing-Editor so that users in any given team as specified in the AD hierachy can make and edit calendar items.
Asking each individual user to share their calendar with several others is not acceptable. I would like the system to automattically update depending on the AD structure.
Hope someone can help.
Regards,
Alex.

Thanks Ed, but I fail to see how the set-MailboxFolderPermission cmd-let can either be run manually to take account of AD heirachy or the system to manage permission dependent on the AD heirarchy. I can easily manage calendar permissions for a user or subset
of users using the cmd-let but it's a manual task and would be required to be run with each employee starting/leaving or moving teams.
The ideal solution would be like the Outlook Calendar Teams where it's looking at the AD setup and is maintained without any input other than setting the manager in AD.
Hope this is a little clearer.
Thanks again,
Alex.

You can use that cmdlet in a script that configures things according to the hierarchy the way you want.

Agree with Ed, I'm afraid the system cannot update the calendar permission depending on the AD structure by Exchange 2010 native feature.
One partner wrote one script: Set-CalendarPermissions.ps1, you can extended the script to meet your own needs.
