I had my iPhone 6 plus stolen today. I could do nothing but bought a new one instead

However, all my contacts were gone which caused me a lot of trouble. 

I want to restore contacts from iCloud but I don't know whether I have done it right.

I used FonePaw iPhone Data Recovery to do it, and finally I got all of them back.
