How to add another domain to exchange
Hi All Initially we outsourced our emial services to an external company. Recently we bought another company which already had exchange server. But we have two different forest now A and B(the new one). We are communicatin between eachother like: 1. File access. 2. Printer access. 3 Terminal server access etc By establising Site-to-Site VPN conection and also creating a stub zone for the other domain for name resolution. Trust relation ship between the forest is in place for future. My question is can I add another domian to exchange server to act as mail service for the other domain. Like exchange server will be able to process emial for both domain A and B. Thank you

Yes, Exchange can accept email on behalf of multiple SMTP domains. They do not require a specific relationship with the name of your Active Directory. For Exchange 2003, you need to configure another Recipient Policy: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997797(EXCHG.65).aspx Mike

I guess this is possible because exchange has 1 to 1 relationship with an AD forestThanks & Regards Piyush piyush@lepide.com Lepide Software
