Hi Asha D, I believe when you ping the mail.example.com will be resolved to the external public IP. As I know, normally firewall won't allow the traffic flow in this way because it is a security concerns or mayb you can check with your firewall team on configuring the IP NAT Loopback so it will allow you to access an internal IP by its public IP. Or else configure the following: Create the example.com domain as the authoritative domain in your internal DNS server, then create the mail.example.com A records to resolve to the CAS internal IP. As a precaution, you might have more records that associate with this example.com domain. Kindly create all the respective records in the internal DNS will resolve the problem. Thank you.

Add "server.example.net" to your internal DNS and point it to the CAS server. Then use the same URL for both internal and external. Why confuse people by having them remember which URL to use? It also makes using Outlook Anywhere pretty darned hard. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
