How to configure microsoft 2003 server exchange
I'm a mini systeme administrator in a small enterprise and my boss ask me to configure 2003 server exchange on the our server. But you all you know employers I can not tell him that I don't know how to configure it and then I'm running to you please. Can some boody help me out?

Setting up exchange 2003 is easily and straight forward You must have a function active directory running preferable on a windows 2003 server or with R2. Have the domain name you and to use with exchange registered and setup your MX record. Install windows 2003/R2 with sp2 on your server and join the server to the existing active directory (to improve the server performance take note of the memory and disk subsystem on the server.) With the member server successfully joined to the domain, add the following windows component · IIS Admin · WWW · SMTP · NNTP · ASPNET Then run setup from your exchange 2003 CD with the following switch: · /Forestprep · /Domianprep Then run setup from the exchange CD. Also you can re-direct the location where your exchange files will be installed. After the installation completed, patch the exchange installation with sp2 if you exchange CD have not be slipstream with it. The post-installation tasks are as follows: · Create recipient policy that will enable exchange server generate the correct email address for users when you mailbox enable them or create new user account. · Determine and configure how exchange server will send external mails to the outside world; either using DNS lookup or using smart host or relaying · Enable form-based authentication if you want to enable OWA and install a valid SSL certificate. · Determine which email hygeince solution to use; either server base or hosted solution. Then start sending and receiving emails.
