How to disable OWA?
How do I disable Outlook Web Access (OWA) altogether? I can't find it anywhere...I did find out how to disable it for individual users and for external users, but I do NOT want to do that. I want to disable OWA altogether so that it doesn't work if someone tries to connect to the OWA site (https://<website>/exchange).It is Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003.

You decide that you do not want to run Outlook Web Access, you will need to stop the HTTP Virtual Server that Exchange Server is utilizing. Doing this will disable HTTP services for Exchange. If you have not configured additional Virtual Servers on that server, you will be disabling all HTTP services on that server. Follow this http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Configuring_and_Using_OWA_in_Exchange_2000_Server.htmlRaj

How do I stop the HTTP Virtual Server? If I stop it, what functionality will be broken besides OWA?

Open the IIS console and expand the Default Website right click on it and say stop.
Not so fast, Vinod! It is Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003. Let's take a look at the Default Web Site. There we have:* OWA interface* Remote Web Workplace interface* ConnectComputer* ClientHelp Pages* Backup and MonitoringWith a typical SBS installation all the web services that rely on the Default Web Site configuration are configured so that they work well with each other. You may easily break something on the SBS default web site if you are not carefully, and some web-based applications actually do so. If you stop the default web site, you stop a lot of the benefits of using SBS (except prize perhaps).I wouldn't disable OWA altogether, but instead use this method: Select all your users in ADUC and highlight them, right-click, select Exchange Tasks then select Exchange Features. Under Protocols select Outlook Web Access and hit Disable. You could also use ADModifyhttp://blogs.technet.com/exchange/archive/2004/08/04/208045.aspx
Using ADModify to Change Exchange Specific AD User Attributes in Bulkhttp://www.msexchange.org/articles/ADModify-Change-Exchange-Specific-AD-User-Attributes.htmlHere is the official document on managing the feature for users:How to manage Outlook Web Access features in Exchange Server 2003http://support.microsoft.com/kb/830827As a side note: On SBS 2003 by default OWA from the Internet is disabled. If enabled, you can easily disable it by running the CEICW. Jon-Alfred Smith MCTS: Messaging MCSE: S+M
