How to host multiple SMTP to Exchange 2003
Exchange 2003 with Multiple domain
I guess posting in this forum is my last resort, I've done/read at lot of info regarding in this topic but I still wasn't able to host multiple domain in our Exchange 2003 Server. To make it short these are steps that I did: 1. Register a new domain name. EMAIL REMOVED 2. Set A host/MX records from registrar website. 3. add the new domain SMTP to default recipient policy of Exchange server.
Note: We have and existing Domain EMAIL REMOVED and we want to use the same server to host the dcf.com
then i will set the new domain as their primary email.
I dont know what i miss here i hope somebody here could help me. By the way I was able to send email locally and outside of our network using the new SMTP. But when I test sending from yahoo to this SMTP this what happen:
Remote host said: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable

1. Make sure the MX record reflect the name of new domain. try below tool to check MX record/PTR record. http://www.mxtoolbox.com/ in ESM under recipient policy select the policy which you have created and go to properties under email address tab select the smtp and click on edit and make sure "This Organization is responsible for all mail delivery" thing is selected. also check if the users mailboxes has been stamped with this recipient policy. also make sure your Firewall/Antispam/Antivirus talking in permeter relay emails to this domain. One way to check for your new domian would be try below http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheckdomainf.aspx put your new domain name and see where is it failing Reference

Try these steps one by one1. Check the DNS settings.2. Check if you can resolve the new domain on DNS through nslookup. 3. Some knind of firewall or some networking device , where you need to add the new domain as accepted domain.the flow should look some thing like thisclient (yahoo or gmail)-->DNS (MX)--> ISP or your FW-->Exchange-->Outlook client.Just think if you have missed thing on this chain.Raj

Please run Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com/ to do an inbound smtp email test, it will guide you some general steps for troubleshooting the issue.
If the issue persists, please paste the result here.

Hi Elvis, As you said, Im so desperate to find the solution please help. First this is our primary or shuold say our default SMTP.

Hello,
From the result, we could see the DNS record is OK. I just telnet to the server and find the response of server is not normal. It seems like the server is not an Exchange server. So could you please described your environment in detail? Are you installed any Firewall/Anti-spam/anti-virus in front of Exchange server? I heard Watchguard firewall could cause this issue.
