I made a hierarchy smart chart and the lines that connect the boxes wont move, theyre just in awkward positions. Theyre attached where the should be but like waaaay to the left or at awkward angles on the boxes. PLease help. Im about to throw my computer out of the window.

Try to create a hierarchy smart chart by my Word 2013, there is a lot of Layout we can choose.  However, Whatever the style we select, it limits to adjust the connecter lines which only follows box to move. I think this is by design and limitation of Word hierarchy smart chart feature. For workaround, we may use another Office Component - Visio to design the orgnization chart.

Microsoft Visio is a diagramming and vector graphics application.
