If it's not one of the default folders, and it's not createdas a managed folder, how is it created?Based on the information you've given so far, I'd have to say "No, it's not possible to prevent the user from renamining it.Karl

Thanks for your replies. The folder is created by third-party script, which does not allow moveand delete of the folder. When I use managed folder I can create only root folder as managed one - cannot delete, move, rename. I want to create a folder structure like following with different retentions:[Root folder] |_____[Sub Folder 1] |_________[Sub Folder 2] |___________[Sub Folder 3]With managed folders I can prevent users from delete, move and rename but not with the third-party script. With the help of that utility I can create as many sub folders as I want with different retention periods but cannot prevent users from renaming it.Thanks,Mukund

You have a third party script that's going to put email in user's folders? You won't be able to prevent the user's from deleting the folders, or renaming them.I'd talk to the script provider - seems like they haven't thought this through very well.Email is nota file sharing mechanism, but it seems like this is what the script expects.I'd use SharePoint (preferable) or Public Folders (less preferable) long before adding data to every mailbox. What is it that the script is providing?Karl
