there is no tools that can split an Exchange database, but you can create a additional DB's and then move some mailboxes to the new DB. You probably want to do an offline defrag of the origianal DB to shrink its file size after you have moved mailboxes away from it.

Create a new mailbox store on a different drive. Move some of the mailboxes to it. 3. Impose mailbox size limits on your users and get them to delete mail. 4. Move some of your largest users' mail to .pst files to free up database space.
