How to use eseutil /cnnnn?
My Exchange 2003 server has more than 2GB of ram and I'm getting the error "Operation terminated with error -2102 (JET_errCallbackNotResolved, A callback function could not be found) after <var>Number</var> seconds" when defragging, so I've obtained eseutil
version 6.5.7651.51 in hotfix Fix261889.
Now I'm supposed to use the switch /cnnnn to specify more than the default 500MB reservation. Does anyone know how to actually use this command? The KB article does not tell how to use the command. Like the one post on Experts-Exchange
about this switch, eseutil does not accept anything I enter as well. Has anyone had success getting this switch to work? Thanks

Why are you doing an offline defrag?

To reclaim empty space that is not reclaimed by on online defrag would the most the most common reason.

Yea, but that's usually a bad reason :)
Are you using Standard Edition of 2003? How much free space are you trying to reclaim? Are you running out of disk space?

Have you tried to use the /3GB switch in the Boot Pause and then reboot the Server and try it again.Ashwin Raj

Agree with Andy ! No one would suggest to run ofline defrag for making free space for DB it won't help in size only it will free white space inside DB.
Best way to make free space is move mailbpx,s to other store and delete exisitng one and create new one and move back all .
