Hi Just looking over Hybrid Deployment for one of our customers Just a have a  quick questions

1) My customer currently has 1 x CAS  and 2 x MBX servers for hybrid deployment i was reading and i need the cas to have the mailbox role on it correct? If that is the case i can create a new CAS server and add the mailbox role would be the easiest method. Please correct me if i am wrong

You can have the CAS and Mailbox on the same server. 

That article says that you must have a mailbox role server and it specifically says that it doesn't have to be on the same server as the mailbox role.  The CAS simply won't work without a mailbox role server, but that server does not have to be the same box as the CAS.

Microsoft's recommended architecture is Mailbox+CAS servers, they don't recommend splitting the roles.  The only reason I can think of why you'd want to do that is that you're using WNLB, but I'd do everything I can to avoid that.

Multiple ingress/egress points do not require separate servers.
