IMAP Server quit working
Hello, I was trying to implement IMAP logging on exchange 2007. I followed the steps in the following article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997690.aspx Change the following line in the <appSettings> section from: <addkey="ProtocolLog" value="false" /> to: <addkey="ProtocolLog" value="true" /> I made this change, however IMAP server would not start with this change. I got the following error: The worker process crashes continuously on startup: C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\PopImap\Microsoft.Exchange.Imap4.exe. The service will be stopped. So I changed it back to false, and it still won't start! I am getting the same errors. Help!

I found that I had to edit the file with NOTEPAD and make sure UTF-8 encoding is selected; initially I used wordpad. I restored the edit backup file with notepad, made the change and now IMAP4 service starts.
