IMAP Sync problems
I have Window 8.1 with Office 2013. I purchased an email address related to my website from Go Daddy, which uses Office 365. I have the Office 365 Outlook configured to download to my desktop Outlook IMAP folders and 18 subfolders and  5 sub-sub folders. This account is my default address. I also have 6 other accounts, one from Go Daddy that was established before Office 365 as well as live.com and gmail. Everything was fine until two weeks ago saw that I had an email on my iPhone. Since there were several attachments I waited until I could open it on my desktop Outlook. The email never showed up. I go online to the Office 365 Outlook and I have 115 unread emails in my Inbox. Keep in mind everything is working as usual with other emails, including the older Go Daddy account. I did a fix for that email account, nothing changed. I checked all permissions. I have read in several forums that there is a problem with an MS update, I can't find the particular updates to uninstall. I was also instructed to go back and change the Root Path to INBOX. I did - nothing happened, then I did a restart. Now NO folders or sub-folders show up in the desktop Outlook, even my Sent and Delete folders have disappeared. I removed the INBOX from the Root Path, and restarted, nothing changed.  I have unsubscribed to the folders and subscribed again. Still nothing is changed. I expect better from Microsoft to put a product in the marketplace that is inferior to what I was already using. I have more than 1000 emails that I now can not access unless I go online to Office 365; which is not what I want to do.

Hi,

I haven't heard any recent update is causing IMAP sync issues. Anyway, is there any error message when synchronizing the IMAP account?

You mentioned there were some attachments, any big one? If the attachments are quite big, it may take some time for Outlook to download. Before it completes, new emails may not come in.

As other accounts are working fine, the issue doesn't seems to be related to firewall settings or network.

One more possible cause is that the data file(.ost) of that account is corrupted, try to run Scanpst.exe to scan and fix the possible errors. The location of Scanpst.exe can be found below:

32-bit Windows C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
64-bit Windows C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15
64-bit Outlook C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15
Click-to-Run C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15

I hope the information is helpful to you.
