Hi,
Delete your self-signed certificate and run set-imapsettings again.
Example: Set-IMAPSettings -X509CertificateName mail.domain.com
Even if you have a wildcard certificate, you need to use an fqdn when you run set-Imapsettings.

Deleted the two self signed certs. that were on the machine. Ran set-imapsettings again, said that no settings were changed. Tried to connect the client, can't connect. Ran set-imapsettings again setting the certificate to $null and then set it back to the
FQDN name.. imap.domain.com.. my wildcard certificate is *.domain.com... client can't connect.
Any more ideas?Jason Meyer

We are setup using a wildcard certificate and today I need to enable IMAP. I've read all the forums saying I can't use the GUI to assign this type of certificate and why. So I have used the commandline to set the certificate which all looks
good but when connecting with a client it is still using the old self signed server certificate.
I found a forum (I'll be darned if I can find it again) where one admin. said that after a couple of days the wildcard certificate was activated.
My question, what do I need to do to get the certificate to bind/activate? If I do a get-imapsettings | fl it shows the FQDN x509CertificateName that matches our *.domain.com certificate that is installed and in use for IIS but when a client connects
via IMAP it is still getting the server self signed certificate.Jason Meyer
