I can't receive emails from the internet
Hi Everyone,
I set exchange couple of days ago at home, I am able to send and receive emails between users using the same domain.
Now, the problem, and I think is that my ISP Bell Sympatico blocks port 25 and many others. To be able to send emails to external/outsite domains, I has to configure "Route mail through the following smart host, and added my ISP's SMTP server".
But here I am not quite sure, why emails coming to me, are not going through...Do I have to do something similar to receive emails ? It has to be done on my ISP's end or me ?
I don't get any errors when sending email, just nothing happens, email disappear. My connection is Fine, DNS is fine also...
Can please someone help me with that or give me a workaround ?
I am new to Exchange, so please be nice with me :)

You need to have MX record for receving emails. If you could tell us your domain we can check externally if there is MX record avaible for that domain.Jasjit Singh Dhindsa | ITIL v3 | IASA Foundation Certified | MCITP: EMA 2010/2007 | MCTS: MES 2010/2007, OCS 2007 | MCSA: M+S | MCSE: M+S

I can see that port 25 is blocked, and this is done by the ISP. are there any woraround this ? I am routing my email outbound using my ISP's SMTP server, but I don't know a solution for inbound.
Thanks!!
