I found these AD attributes in exchange and want to know their function?
msccs-lastmailboxmigrationtime
msccs-lastdirsynctime
I found these two attributes in adsiedit as they are applied to an exchange email account. I'm trying to figure out their role in the system and how they affect the user email account. How do they differ? What do they tell the system and how
are they updated?
Thanks.....

Those attributes aren't in my Exchange 2010 schema. And the only Google hits on them is your post. So I surmise that someone extended your schema with those attributes. In any case, I'm extremely certain that they're not related to Exchange

Sounds to me like Ed is right here.
You could see if the OID provides further information regarding the provenance of the attributes:

The email account is part of the Microsoft Online Services so I figured they were attributes added as part of the cloud. Just wanted to understand their function.

Those aren't properties used by Exchange. Which software product added
those properties to your schema?

Hi,
It
is right.
Look at the following link:

I think “msccs-lastdirsynctime”
should be
the last time when dirsync.exe synchronize local directory services to Microsoft Online Services.

I think “msccs-lastmailboxmigrationtime”
should be the last time when Transporter-en.msi
migrate Microsoft Exchange to Microsoft Online Services.

It turns out that migration and dirsync add these attributes into the schema, as Exchange adds to the schema when installing.
