I have a doubt in Exchange 2000
imagine the following scenario: I send a mail with 1 MByte for all employees of the company, this email will by forward to all, so the question is, this email will be sent to everyone, so the question is, I have 500 users, the exchange will create 500MBytes of storage (1MByte in each mailbox) orcreate an image with pointers to the email, in a given location? if I was not very clear in explanation, I try to answer the questions that arise thanks for the help Pedro Cordeiro

Hi, Exchange 2000 use single instance - this means that each such message will be stored only once pr. mailbox database (so if all users have mailboxes in the same database you will only store one copy of the message). Leif

Helo Leif, Then, as you said, and imagining the example I gave, I have only 1MB storage in the database. mailboxs go all read the same email. I mean that this issue is resolved Release 5.5 of exchange for 2000. I did not know whether it was of 5.5 for 2000, it was the 2000 to 2003 thanks very much for your help. Best regards Pedro Cordeiro
