Import Data Store/Mailboxes After Crash
I've installed Exchange 2007 SP1 on a Windows 2008 Data Center server x64 full server. The Server is a Dell PowerEdge 2900with 8 Gigabyte of memory and 10 Terabytes of disk space running an a RAID 5 configuration. For some reason the Information Store will not inititalize. So I've decided to un-install Exchange and do a re-install. I've saved my data store and will want to import it back into the re-install Exchange. How do I get my mailboxes/data store imported back intoExchange once the re-install is complete? Thanks

Issue description: How to mount database to reinstalled exchange 2007? Steps: Notes: Make sure that always keep a original copy of old database 1. Go to EMS 2. Create the storage group with name like old one which contains the old database 3. Copy old database to the store location 4. Create a store and associated the old database to it by using cmdlet [For example] 5. After created mailbox, go to EMC, Properties of old store 6. Check the this databases can be overwritten by restore 7. Then, mount old store 8. Ran Clean-mailboxdatabase, all the mailboxes appeared as Disconnected mailbox 9. Using Get-mailboxstatistics exported the disconnected users Displayname to a CSV file for store For example: Get-MailboxStatistics -database "SERVERNAME\STORAGEGROUP\DATABASE" | where {$_.disconnectdate -ne $null} > C:\Disconnectedusers.csv 10. Modify the CSV file like the way in this article 11. Using import-csv and connect-mailbox cmdlets reconnected all the users in Bulk For example: Import-CSV C:\Disconnectedusers.csv | foreach {connect-mailbox -Database old database -Identity $_. Displayname}
