Importing PST to Exch 2007
Greetings, I have read all of the troubleshooting posts I can find about this issue, and found no solution. Lots of suggestions but im still unresolved. I am hoping someone may have updated info they can share here. The trouble is I am attempting to import PST files generated by Outlook 2003 into exchange 2007 (ver 8.1.240.5). The import appears to run fine in the Exchange Shell. No errors are generated and I receive the message that the import was successful but none of the messages show up in the exchange box. Details: I am using a Windows XP Pro sp3 client to do the import with Exchange Management Tools I have full admin rights to local machine. I have full access to the Exchange mailbox in question. I am an Exchange Enterprise Admin on the Exchange Server. I have attempted the import using all possible versions the exchange Identity I can think of (i.e. sford, sford@Bbk.com etc) I am using the Import-Mailbox command as follows: Import-Mailbox -Identity sford@BBK.com -PSTFolderpath c:\PST\sford.pst One of the thigns that bothers me, and has me at a loss is that in the output file the "Target Mailbox" item is unpopulated. Here is the output file: Identity : BBK.local/BBK Users IT Staff/Scott Ford DistinguishedName : CN=Scott Ford,OU=BBank Users IT Staff,DC=BBK,DC=local DisplayName : Scott Ford Alias : sford LegacyExchangeDN : /o=BBK/ou=Exchange Administrative G roup (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn=Recipients/cn=sfor d PrimarySmtpAddress : sford@bbk.com SourceServer : SourceDatabase : VMXSERV\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database SourceGlobalCatalog : POWEREDGE SourceDomainController : TargetGlobalCatalog : POWEREDGE TargetDomainController : TargetMailbox : TargetServer : vmXserv.BBK.local TargetDatabase : VMXSERV\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database MailboxSize : 265KB IsResourceMailbox : False SIDUsedInMatch : SMTPProxies : SourceManager : SourceDirectReports : SourcePublicDelegates : SourcePublicDelegatesBL : SourceAltRecipient : SourceAltRecipientBL : SourceDeliverAndRedirect : MatchedTargetNTAccountDN : IsMatchedNTAccountMailboxEnabled : MatchedContactsDNList : TargetNTAccountDNToCreate : TargetManager : TargetDirectReports : TargetPublicDelegates : TargetPublicDelegatesBL : TargetAltRecipient : TargetAltRecipientBL : TargetDeliverAndRedirect : Options : IncludeAssociatedMessages SourceForestCredential : TargetForestCredential : TargetFolder : PSTFilePath : c:\pst\sford.pst RsgMailboxGuid : RsgMailboxLegacyExchangeDN : RsgMailboxDisplayName : RsgDatabaseGuid : StandardMessagesDeleted : 0 AssociatedMessagesDeleted : 0 DumpsterMessagesDeleted : 0 MoveType : Import MoveStage : Completed StartTime : 6/29/2009 12:34:30 PM EndTime : 6/29/2009 12:34:30 PM StatusCode : 0 StatusMessage : This PST file has been imported to the mailb ox. I didn't read through the whole post but roll-up 2 is pretty old now and you should install #8 instead:http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?familyid=E1F5C8B2-C4F2-4EBA-849B-E464D4F2869C&displaylang=eneach rollup contains the previous rollups.
